Your academic data, username, and password are stored locally on your device only and are never sent to our servers. We collect only your Full Name, Student ID, and Major for a future feature.

myGUNI (for GUC/GIU) is built with a privacy-first philosophy. Your grades, transcripts, attendance records, and login credentials remain under your complete control on your device.

📊 What We Collect (Version 1.0.2+)

Starting from version 1.0.2, myGUNI collects only three pieces of information:

  • Full Name: Your name as registered with GUC or GIU
  • Student ID: Your student identification number
  • Major: Your academic major/program
Why We Collect This Data

This limited information is collected and stored on our servers solely to enable a future feature that will depend on student identification. We do not gather any other information.

Important: This data is stored securely and is not shared with third parties.

🚫 What We DON'T Collect

myGUNI does NOT collect, store, or have access to:

  • No Username or Password: Your university login credentials never leave your device
  • No Academic Records: Grades, transcripts, exam results, and attendance records are stored only on your device
  • No Course Information: Schedule, course materials, and assignments remain local
  • No Financial Data: Payment information and financial records stay on your device
  • No Email Content: Your university emails are never accessed by our servers

🔐 How The App Works

myGUNI connects directly to official university systems from your device:

  • Direct Connection: Your device connects directly to GUC or GIU portals using your credentials
  • No Intermediary: Your login information never passes through our servers
  • Local Session Management: All login sessions are managed locally on your device
  • Secure Communication: All connections use encrypted HTTPS

🛡️ Security Measures

We implement multiple security layers to protect your data:

  • Local Encryption: Credentials stored on your device are encrypted using industry-standard methods
  • Secure Storage: Platform-specific secure storage keeps your login information safe on your device
  • Session Isolation: Demo mode data is completely separate from real account data
  • Minimal Data Collection: We only collect Name, ID, and Major—nothing more
  • No Credential Storage: Your username and password never leave your device

🗑️ Data Deletion & Control

You have complete control over your data:

  • Local Data: Clear cached academic data from your device at any time
  • Logout: Removes stored credentials from your device
  • Uninstall: Permanently removes all local data from your device
  • Collected Data: Contact us to request deletion of your Name, ID, and Major from our servers

Note: We cannot recover academic data once deleted from your device, as we never had access to it in the first place.
